I first noticed this after disabling the gnome-shell extension
"Backslide" and then attempting to manually change the background myself
through gnome-control-center. re-enabling the extension seems to not
make a difference. When running `gnome-control-center -v background' I
get the following output:

Segmentation fault

I also tested this with a new account and the background showed
initially at first, although the image showed graphical glitches. Then
after going to gnome-tweak-tool and having the file manager handle the
desktop option turned on, it would again segfault. Turning the file
manager option off did not fix the problem.
