Has gnome-shell ever worked on your machine? If not, this is likely a
problem with 3D support of your card.
Could you also please attach the /tmp/xorg-debug.log created by the
following command to this bug report?
sudo bash -c "/usr/share/bug/xserver-xorg-core/script 3>&1" > /tmp/xorg-debug.log
Also, I'm downgrading the severity of this bug report, since gnome-shell
works fine for most users.
