Bug#736166: alacarte: generates broken .desktop files if executable path contains spaces

Package: alacarte
Version: 3.10.0-1
Severity: normal

If a program is added with alacarte that is in a path that contains
spaces, the resulting desktop file will not be shown by the shell.
Wrapping the Exec= command in quotes (") makes it work.

It appears the Exec key is the only one that needs quoting. The Icon key
is broken if quotes are added.
