Bug#753513: gnome: Gradient background when accessing "Activities"

When accessing the "Activities" button on the top left of a Gnome 3
desktop, on a newly installed Jessie machine, I often get a gradient
colored background instead of the choosen background. I have
screendumps of this if you want visual proof.
