Bug#753623: libgtk-3-0: TextView widget shows placeholder character instead of space after some Unicode glyphs

Dear Maintainer,

a space character after some glyphs is shown as a rectangle with 0020 in it.

For example, U+1F332 EVERGREEN TREE followed by U+0020 SPACE shows up as:

I find this behaviour s̶l̶i̶g̶h̶t̶l̶y̶ 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠.
