Package: gconf2
Version: 3.2.6-1
Followup-For: Bug #714479

Dear Maintainer,

Please note that this bug still exists and also manifests itself when executing
updates from a remote terminal.

Even if beforehand I issue the following command to set the DISPLAY env
variable:
xauth list `echo $DISPLAY | cut -d ':' -f 2 | cut -d '.' -f 1 | sed -e s/^/:/`
| xargs -n 3 sudo xauth add

The error is still produced when packages triggering gconf2 processing are
updates/installed/removed(unknown)

Note the error can also be replicated using:
sudo dpkg-reconfigure gconf2

Regards

Os
