The latest stable update included an update to the kernel. You can't
hibernate - or rather, you cannot successfully resume - if the running
kernel is different from the installed kernel. (But there ought to be a
clear error message if hibeneration is aborted for this reason.)
Daniel, have you rebooted since the update?
