Bug#742912: eog cannot show images of 2560x1600 pixels and shows corrupt images

Dear Maintainer,
This might have or not fixed in eog 3.12 which is due in few days.

For a long time eog has not been able to show many images.

For instance the sample image I have shared below and the corrupted
image on the viewer.

As can be seen from the screenshot the corruption is there even though
the file-size is small.

Looking forward to know more.
