It seems to happen every time I log in now. My user account information
comes from LDAP and gdm seems to be started before name services are
available.

The chooser list in gdm only shows the previously logged-in users if I
restart gdm before logging in (or for the second user that logs in after
a reboot). In that case my locale is reverted to C.

If I change my settings in the settings center, log out and log back in
again the language is restored for one session.

So I'm reverting my system locale again to en_GB.utf8.

Thanks,
