Bug#767803: gdm3: After update Gdm3 displays "Oh No! Something has gone wrong"

I had the same issue.  My GLX alternative had been set to nvidia

update-alternatives --config glx

and set it to mesa-diverted resolved this for me.

My laptop has a i915 graphics adaptor, and has no nvidia hardware
