Package: libcairo2
Version: 1.14.0-2.1
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
Since upgrading to cairo 1.14.0 I am seeing missing text in the postscript output
when using pdftocairo to convert pdfs to postscript. Downgrading to version
1.12.2-3 fixes the bug.
Steps to reproduce:
$ wget http://ncirs.edu.au/news/August-Newsletter-2014.pdf
$ pdftocairo -ps August-Newsletter-2014.pdf
$ evince August-Newsletter-2014.*
Compare the text in the pdf and ps files on page 7 in the paragraph starting with
"12 years on". Most of the last line of this paragraph is missing.
This bug is reproducable with many other pdfs.
