It's not much of a workaround, but in 3.14.1 turning on "Continuous" view from the "View options" menu before clicking around in the search results sidebar allows Evince to jump to the results. Having to do this is intensely irritating if you prefer page-focussed PDF reading most of the time. -- Andrew Chadwick
