I was affected by this bug even after upgrading to 1.1-4. But upgrading the
rest of the system indeed seems to have fixed it at some point.
Tortoisehg-nautilus runs fine now.

amd64 testing

nautilus 3.12.2-1
python-nautilus 1.1-4
tortoisehg-nautilus 3.1-1
