Bug#762123: evince: completely impossible to use due to extremely slow scrolling

Dear Maintainer,
When I switch left sidebar to thumbnails mode, I can not scroll pages with
mouse, even with keyboard pressing PgUp/PgDn.

To reproduct this bug:
1) switch left sidebar to thumbnails mode
2) scroll document

What is expected:
An old version of evince scrolled pages smoothly.

What appears:
Too slow scrolling, CPU (Phenom X6) fan speeds up. Impossible to use.
