Bug#762165: Solution (top-level) with logs

I first tried installing a fresh testing install from the jessie beta
netinst CD and current hd-media installers. I ran into some difficulty with
iso-scan, but eventually got a new installation. In this installation, the
graphical interface came up.

For the new installation, I had asked for the Xfce and Gnome desktop to be
installed. I didn't have Xfce before on the original installation, so I
went back and ran tasksel there after upgrading to current testing. I
selected the same tasks as I had in the new installation, including those
two, and 130 packages were installed. I attached a list of the packages.

After this, the graphics interface started working just like the new
install. I also attached a journalctl log which shows a failed run (before
the tasksel installation) and a successful run (immediately afterwards).

So, as far as I'm concerned, my problem is solved with these tasksel
installations.
