I don't think you should expect much to happen to src:gtksourceview2.
The packaging is deprecated by src:gtksourceview3 which should contain the
fix you're pointing to any many others. Please port affected
applications .... hopefully we'll be able to get rid of
src:gtksourceview2 from the debian archive soon (or atleast before
stretch is released).
