This seems likely to be the problem: gnome-settings-daemon crashed with
an assertion failure.

If you can get a backtrace from that crash
(<https://wiki.debian.org/HowToGetABacktrace>), or indicate how a developer
can reproduce it, that would be really useful.

If you create another user account on the same computer, does the same
thing happen for that account?
