Thanks for your bug report (and the severity is correct because
a failure to build from source is a debian policy violation).

Since this has not been reproduced on the buildds or on the
occational archive rebuilds, I'm assuming something is special
with your build (and this might just get closed because of that)
but the lack of details makes it hard to verify.
Could you please post a full build log?
