I would love to release a fully polished Meld in Jessie, but this change
can't be made at this time according to the release policy [1].

Luckily the version I just uploaded to unstable fixes the bug and you and
others can use meld from unstable without updating any other package to
unstable. I think this is much better than patching meld for yourself.
