Package: gnome-shell-extension-weather
Version: 0~20140924.git7e28508-1
Followup-For: Bug #804505
according to the extension author, the version that ships with debian jessie is outdated and does
not work anymore:

> @dauddaud: Use the extension from this page. The one defaulting to Eivissa and needing a openweathermap.org API-key is outdated. Or bug the Debian maintainers to update the extension in their repos. There's nothing I can do, sorry !
> jens (author):
> @all: I just uploaded a new version, whch uses a default API-key for openweathermap.org. It's already reviewd ! The fastest review I have ever seen (many, many thanks !) So recent versions >= 25 do no longer need an API-key for owm. The devs added it to there FOSS_whitelist. Many thanks for this to openweathermap.org !
There is also a comment giving a workaround, which worked for me:

> You must change the default city in the openweather extension by going into: "Dconf Editor", then click on "org", "gnome", then down to "shell", pick "extensions", "openweather", then "city".
