Package: gnome-online-accounts
Version: 3.14.2-1
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation?
Trying to setup company Google Account. We use Kerberos to authenticate users
with Google Apps.
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
1. run 'gnome-control-center online-accounts' (or open "Online Accounts")
2. Add Account: Google
3. Provide with the username and the password, click "Sign in"
* What was the outcome of this action?
The pop-up window has been raised "The site google.company.xyz:443 requests a
username and password".
I cannot select anything in that pop-up window... even though it looks like
"active", everything I type -> gets retyped in the below "google sign-in"
window where I did prompt with the Google creds (email & password).
Using xprop command I've found the window has the "key" icon and it looked to
me as GSSAPI (Kerberos) Mozilla window.
It looks like it's libwebkitgtk issue, the focus should not be stolen.
* What outcome did you expect instead?
The GSSAPI window should not steal the keyboard focus, so that I can type the
Kerberos company credentials and authenticate via company Google Apps there.
