baobab registers for the inode/directory mime type, as e.g. file manager
do. It's up to the desktop environment to specify the preferred default
handler for this mime type. Say you have both nautilus and dolphin
installed, then you want nautilus to handle inode/directory under GNOME
and dolphin under KDE.

So this is something which needs to be fixed in mate, there is nothing
which can be done in baobab about this.

Re-assigning to mate-deskop in lack of a better package. Hopefully the
mate maintainers will assign it to the correct package.
