More information: since the backtrace shows an issue
with gtk_style_context_get_style_valist() I thought it might be theme
related.

So I tried with adwaita, and here it works fine. My theme is usually
Greybird, so GTK+ might /again/ have broken other them.

Also, I tried to attach a backtrace (although it looks like the
original reporter one), but browsing my filesystem led to a frozen UI,
with syslog reporting about gvfs exploring the network for SMB shares
(WTF?). So no backtrace.
