Package: nautilus
Version: 3.18.0-2+b1
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
This is quite difficult to explain clearly, hence the naff subject line,
but here goes:
When I navigate to a subdirectory of an NFS share, after a few seconds,
Nautilus climbs back up the directory tree.
For example, I point Nautilus to /mnt/fileserver/1/2/3/4/ and leave the
window open for a minute or so. When I come back to that window it will
be showing /mnt/fileserver/1/2 or maybe even /mnt/fileserver.
The only way I can seem to get Nautilus to stay at a directory level I
want it to, is to use "open in terminal" and open a shell at that level.
For some reason that helps Nautilus "remember" its current directory.
I've seen this behaviour for quite some time - probably since Wheezy. It
happens with NFSv3 and v4, v4.1 and I believe autofs and fstab mounting
procedures. Both client and server are running Debian.
