Running gnome-maps works for me and apparently also for mfv.
This ofcourse doesn't mean there's no problem though.
Personally I have many packages installed from experimental
and even some not yet uploaded. I'm guessing mfv might have
updated some package as well to make it work for him. I think
there's a good chance thus that gnome-maps simply misses
a (versioned) dependency somewhere to guarantee another component
is upgraded when gnome-maps is. If you could please look at the
dependencies of gnome-maps and check if there's a package in
experimental you can upgrade too, do each upgrade separately
and test gnome-maps at each step, likely you'll then find the
culprit and we've identified the missing dependency.
Your help would be very welcome.
