I managed to narrow down the cause of this bug.  I noticed that it
occurred after upgrading several GNOME and GTK+ packages to the latest
versions in sid, including libgtk-3-0.  I downgraded libgtk-3-0 back to
3.18.9-1 from testing (along with various associated packages that
depended on the new version), and sol stopped segfaulting.  I then
upgraded *only* libgtk-3-0 and libgail-3-0 (which has an exact version
dependency) to 3.20.3-1, and sol started segfaulting again.
