Bug#833664: system-config-printer: Auto-added network printer has incorrect local-network hostname

Dear Maintainer,

I sit at my Debian workstation and print to a remote printer that is
connected by USB to a LMDE (Mint) machine, both machines (workstation
and remote Mint) on the same LAN.

When I first configured the remote Mint machine to make the printer
available on the network, my workstation saw it and configured
everything correctly so it just worked (in fact I first printed to it
accidentally it worked so well).

Later, I removed and reinstalled on my workstation cups and a number of
other packages, deleted the printer, and then let my workstation system
detect and auto-configure the remote printer.

Printing then failed.  Any document would appear in the queue and remain
until I cancelled manually.  Error messages included a Settings ->
"Printer State" of "Unable to locate printer", and a queue status of
"Processing - Not connected?"

I found the Settings -> "Device URI" looked like
"ipps://host.local:631/printers/MyPrinter" where "host" represents the
literal name of the remote Mint machine as it identifies itself.

To get printing to work, I had modify the URI by removing the ".local"
suffix of the hostname.  Alternatively, replacing the entire
"host.local" name with the DHCP-assigned IP address of the remote Mint
machine caused printing to work.
