Looks like this is a more widespread issue:

$ grep gapplication /usr/share/applications/*.desktop
/usr/share/applications/org.gnome.Characters.desktop:Exec=gapplication launch org.gnome.Characters
/usr/share/applications/org.gnome.Maps.desktop:Exec=gapplication launch org.gnome.Maps
/usr/share/applications/org.gnome.Polari.desktop:Exec=gapplication launch org.gnome.Polari
/usr/share/applications/org.gnome.Shell.PortalHelper.desktop:Exec=gapplication launch org.gnome.Shell.PortalHelper
/usr/share/applications/org.gnome.Weather.Application.desktop:Exec=gapplication launch org.gnome.Weather.Application

Only gnome-weather has a dependency on libglib2.0-bin.
