Bug#711500: Changing APT::Periodic::Update-Package-Lists to "0" worked for me

GNU/Linux



Changed /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/10periodic from;

APT::Periodic::Download-Upgradeable-Packages "1";
APT::Periodic::Unattended-Upgrade "0";
APT::Periodic::Update-Package-Lists "2";

to;

APT::Periodic::Download-Upgradeable-Packages "1";
APT::Periodic::Unattended-Upgrade "0";
APT::Periodic::Update-Package-Lists "0";
