Package: gdm3
Version: 3.14.1-7
Severity: important
Tags: upstream
Dear Maintainer,
When the Gdm desktop is left alone for some time, and one comes back, after entering the password, the gdm-worker
process crashes.
The following message appeared in /var/log/messages
Jul 23 13:28:58 mymachine kernel: [ 1924.271192] gdm-session-wor[1980]: segfault at 10 ip 0000000000409288 sp 00007ffd87f4c180 error 4 in gdm-session-worker[400000+36000]
And the session is lost.
This is quite unconvenient for working. If one leaves the desktop for sometime, and it is locked, all the work is lost.
Looking for information, I found the following bug report quite similar
