Thanks for your interest and no objections from me.
Might be worth looking into if you can avoid backporting some
dependencies though, eg. uhttpmock is probably only needed for tests
which you could probably disable.

Taking the chance to mention that you might also want to invest some
time in the unstable/testing versions and look up what upstream
is working on. Stretch will be released in a not so distant future and
giving the packages you care about the best possible start might save you
work later on not having to backport! :)
