package: mutter
version: 3.18.3-1
With update to mutter-3.18.3-1 mouse cursor becomes invisible when over top
bar (Activities, etc.) or in "overview" mode (super key). It is possible to
click, but not to see where the cursor is. The pointer gets visible again
when over normal windows.
According to fedora bug tracker, mutter 3.18.3-2 addresses this issue:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1316010
Work-around: https://major.io/2016/03/11/mouse-cursor-disappears-gnome-3/
This posts indicate that this issue may only affect multi-monitor system
with a particular screen arrangement, where the monitor on the right is
arranged above the main display on the left. That is exactly how my
screens were arranged and after moving my right-hand display down, and
restarting, the mouse pointer is working normally.
