Bug#824897: Minimum brightness turns screen black

Sorry I'm not very technical, I couldn't even get reportbug to work 
properly on the terminal.

All I want is the brightness setting to be fixed, right now the lowest 
setting just turns my screen black. You can refer to here:

I'm using the latest stable debian.
