I'm attaching a patch to split the nautilus plugin into a separate package.
For Ubuntu GNOME 17.04, I think I don't want it to contain the brasero
standalone app by default, but I still want there to be an easy way to
burn .iso's to CD/DVD for those who still want to do so.
I confirmed that I was able to successfully burn a DVD with an .iso
with nautilus-plugin-brasero installed but not brasero itself.
Perhaps the 'gnome' metapackage will do the same thing.
- Brasero is not recommended in the default install according to
jhbuild. (Ubuntu 16.04 LTS dropped it and other GNOME distros don't
have it either.)
- Brasero is undermaintained.
- Many modern laptops do not have a CD/DVD drive.
- It appears that File Roller can create .iso files
Thanks,
Jeremy Bicha
