Bug#844306: gdm3: cannot display any x-apps over a gdm login screen

Dear Maintainer,

I would like to run some extra x-window applications (e.g. zenity), to be shown on the login screen.
An application runs without errors but nothing is shown on the display.

I tried run it form /etc/gdm3/Init/Default or /etc/gdm3/PostLogin/Default
Even running it (DISPLAY=:0 zenity –info) from root’s command line, does not work.

In previous Debian oldstable (wheezy) it was working without problems.
