So, I tried to investigate this.

First, I ran into another failure:

That one is due to a missing build-dep on tzdata. 


After adding that build-dep, I can confirm that the package builds fine now.
There are some changes in versions of build-dependency, maybe one of them was
fixed in the meantime.

I don't know if test suite failures are frequent in that package, but it would
be useful to display the content of the log file in case of failure, so that it
ends up in the log.
