Please give some context (like a subject line) when replying to bugs -
I nearly deleted this message unread on the assumption that "(No Subject)"
was probably phishing or spam, and without going back to the BTS web
interface I can't tell which issue you have experienced.
For other maintainers, the original bug report in its entirety is:

> error message when i try to open gnome-terminal
Matthew, I suspect that you might have a different bug that happens to
have the same symptoms: "the terminal doesn't open" is quite a non-specific
symptom that would appear if the terminal was crashing on startup for any
reason, so it might be seen as a result of multiple bugs. To help to debug
this, please could you send this information to the bug?
* Which version of Debian you are running? (wheezy/7, jessie/8,
stretch/testing, sid/unstable)
* What versions of packages related to gnome-terminal do you have?
(Please install reportbug and use "reportbug --template gnome-terminal"
to gather this information automatically)
* In particular, which versions of gnome-terminal, dbus, dbus-x11
and dbus-user-session do you have? (It's OK if you don't have
dbus-x11 or if you don't have dbus-user-session, but if that's the
case please say so)
* Which desktop environment or window manager are you using?
* If you install and run a non-GNOME terminal like xterm, then run
"gnome-terminal" from there, does it work? If not, what error
messages do you get?
* If you run the command "locale" from an xterm or other non-GNOME
terminal, what does it output?
* After trying to run gnome-terminal, are there any messages related
to gnome-terminal, dbus or systemd near the end of /var/log/syslog?
