Bug#850610: libglib2.0-0: Please compile with --enable-debug

Package: libglib2.0-0
Version: 2.50.0-1
Severity: normal

Dear glib maintainers,

I'd like to re-request[0] that glib be compiled with --enable-debug.
Without this flag set, the Statistics tab of the GTK+ Inspector[1] is
non-functional, which makes it harder to debug refcount and other
memory leak problems in GTK+ applications.

Although I'm an Ubuntu user, the downstream bug there[2] suggested that
a conversation here is needed to facilitate enabling the compile flag,
hence this bug.

Thanks,
//Mike
