Hi folks!
First of all: Thanks a lot for your work and dedication!
I work with a 32-bit Wheezy host system,
VirtualBox Version 5.1.22 r115126 (Qt5.6.1),
and a 64-bit Debian 9.0.0 guest system with GNOME and LXDE desktops.
The bug occurred using GNOME, of course:
Trying to start a GNOME terminal window with root privileges either by
entering "gksu gnome-terminal" in the Alt-F2 starter or by activating
the root terminal launcher with gnome shell works only at the first
launch which asks for the root password.
Subsequent launches result in the display of the
"Granted permissions without asking for password"
message window without actually starting the terminal window.
When I try the command "gksu gnome-terminal" from GNOME terminal
I get the following Gtk-message:
Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"
followed by the message:
Error constructing proxy for org.gnome.Terminal:/org/gnome/Terminal/Factory0:
Fehler beim Aufruf von StartServiceByName für org.gnome.Terminal:
GDBus.Error: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.Spawn.ChildSignaled:
Process org.gnome.Terminal received signal 11
In my Wheezy host-system, the root terminal works flawlessly,
but I will have to switch to Stretch sooner or later. I'd really
appreciate it if we could get this bug fixed.
Thanks again for your efforts!
Best regards
Walter
