Bug#858214: glib2.0: FTBFS (assertion failed: "BRT" == "-03")

Package: src:glib2.0
Version: 2.50.3-1
Severity: serious
Dear maintainer:
I tried to build this package in stretch with "dpkg-buildpackage -A"
but it failed:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[...]
ERROR: gdatetime
================
**
GLib:ERROR:/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/./glib/tests/gdatetime.c:652:test_GDateTime_new_full: assertion failed ("BRT" == g_date_time_get_timezone_abbreviation (dt)): ("BRT" == "-03")
Aborted

I've put several build logs here:
https://people.debian.org/~sanvila/build-logs/glib2.0/
I've also triggered rebuilds on reproducible builds and they are
starting to fail as well:
https://tests.reproducible-builds.org/debian/rb-pkg/unstable/amd64/glib2.0.html
This seems to be triggered by tzdata who propagated to testing on
2017-03-15 (but glib2.0 is probably still to blame here, as tzdata
is usually "right" about timezones).
Thanks.
