Either VTE or ATK; almost certainly not a gnome-terminal bug (particularly
since you can reproduce it with Terminix, which is another VTE user).

If you still have the core dump, or if you can reproduce this in future,
please could you re-trace it with VTE, ATK and AT-SPI debug symbols?
(libdbus debug symbols would perhaps also be interesting.)

It would probably be best to take that information upstream rather than
having someone from pkg-gnome acting as a proxy.
