Package: gdm3
Version: 3.22.3-2
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

I'm using a laptop (Dell XPS 15 9550) connected to a docking station (Dell
WD15). The docking station is connected to a Monitor with multiple inputs
through a DisplayPort cable. I also have a second computer connected to the
same monitor on a different DisplayPort input. When I suspend the laptop and
the other computer is running, the monitor automatically switches input to the
one of the running computer. When I later resume the laptop and switch the
monitor input port to the one connected to the laptop all I can see is a blank
screen. Opening the laptop lid and trying to use the internal display doesn't
work either. The only thing that I can do is reboot the machine the hard way,
through the power button.

I would expect the session being able to rediscover the external monitor or at
least switch to the internal display.

Regards,
Fede
