Nothing has gone adrift. The Debian source package is called json-glib,
the binary packages are called libjson-glib* (and gir1.2-json-*).

I'm being overly pedantic on this /only/ because I want to be 200% sure
we are talking about the same things (in an area of Debian where one
should be conservative by nature) and there was some misleading
terminology slippage earlier in this thread.

The next step here would be to file a bug in the Debian BTS. Would be
nice to get a nod from the the current json-glib maintainers.
