Bug#909018: gnome-shell: fail to switch between applications, desktop and to show all applications of a desktop

Hello,

1) I run firefox and I run Pycharm, I can't switch between the two windows : alt+tab does not work, clicking on the top left corner (or pressing the "Windows" button) to see all open windows produces the result you can see on figure 2 (attached). To go back to firefox, I need to close pycharm (figure1 attached). 

2) As you can see on figure 1 (attached), only one desktop is available whereas two are normally accessible. You can normally switch between the two by holding ctrl+alt+ down arrow/ up arrow. This does not work here. 

3) I observed no crash or changement of behavior, this is the behavior I get when switching on the computer since one of the last updates (I would say maximum 2 or 3 weeks ago).

There are probably more bugs linked to this situation but that's the only ones I observed.

What does "this" mean?

Please describe exactly what you did when trying to "switch between
applications, desktop and to show all applications of a desktop".
Also please describe what you expected to happen, and what actually
happened.

For instance, you might say something like this:

"""
What I did:
* run Files
* run Firefox
* hold Alt
* press Tab

Expected result:
* a list of running applications appears
* when I press Tab, a Files icon is selected
* when I let go of Alt, the Files window appears

Actual result:
* GNOME Shell crashed
"""
