Package: evince
Version: 3.30.2-3
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
I noticed evince on Buster version won't accept inputting Japanese via
input method.
- After opening any PDFs on evince, I pushed Ctrl-J to launch
Japanese input method (I use 'uim'). But it seems be ignored.
- From uim-toolbar-gtk's status view, the search box only accepts
'direct' input.
- Stretch version (3.22.1) had accepted an input method.
- copying Japanese string & pasting it to search box still works.
- Other applications, for example both gedit (3.30.2-2) and gnome-help
(yelp 3.31.90-1) work well.
