Hello,
with the default build options, gvfs requires systemd, fuse and other
libraries to build successfully.
The applied patch disables systemd support and libraries depending on
udev on non-linux architectures and disables some additional libraries
on the hurd.
The applied patch should not affect linux-any.
Could you take a look?
