Hi Are you talking about the legacy status icon panel? It sounds like you are talking about it. If so then please note that status icon panel was removed from Gnome, it is not part of the Gnome anymore. So this it not a bug. Gnome developers decided to remove the legacy status icon panel from Gnome.
