Thanks, that's better than the line I've found and restores
functionality until clicking "Details" again.

One further information: After gsettings reset, I can navigate using the
console to user-acounts, that works, but then clicking on "About"
triggers the crash. On the other hand, when I use the search facility
and go to users from there, it crashes.

I assume the glib2.0 caused/triggered this. After downgrading it to
  ii  libglib2.0-0:amd64   2.58.3-3     amd64        GLib library of C routines
it works again, and after updating it to
  ii  libglib2.0-0:amd64   2.60.6-1     amd64        GLib library of C routines
it crashes again.

Please reassign it to glib2.0 if you think this would be more sensible… (I'm not
sure enough)
