This is a temporary workaround in any case.

Instead of updating the fork of debcrossgen, I'm going to run the ordinary
debcrossgen and then edit its output - that seems more likely to keep
working. The modified debcrossgen was really a proof-of-concept for a
debcrossgen change that I was hoping the meson maintainer would apply
sooner than this.
