Bug#930350: gnome-shell: Play/pause keyboard button stops controlling Rhythmbox/Totem

I use Totem to listen to long media files and pause/resume them using the
Play/Pause button on my keyboard. After a while (sometimes a few hours,
sometimes a few days) this button stops working. Pressing it has no effect on
Totem, Rhythmbox or any other media-playing application running on my Gnome
desktop.

I continue to be able to play/pause from withing the user interface of the
application itself (well, provided I don't run into bug 926164.) I can also
play/pause from the Media player (MPRISv2) shell extension.

All other keys and keyboard shortcuts continue to work on my keyboard,
including the volume and calculator buttons.

Running xev shows no events being received when I press the button (but perhaps
that's normal, since the volume buttons also show no events.)

Rebooting my machine restores the functionality of the keyboard play/pause
button, until the next time it stops working.
